The Kuma tells the tale of four hats, four unruly boys, and the love between a grandmother and her grandsons in the mountainous Sultanate of Oman. This book was translated into a spoken dialect of Nizwani Arabic to promote savoring the unique sociolinguistic traits of different parts of Oman. It also allows young readers to relate and connect easily with characters in a personal way.
