Contents:
This book is a complete (we think) database of all the postal markings of Muscat and Oman since the start of the postal service in the mid 1860s until a little after the year 2000. It builds on -- and revises -- the work of Donaldson in the early 1970s. There is no other detailed print reference available for Oman and as such is a core document for all collectors interested in this area. Profusely illustrated and it has detailed auction results. You need this book to provide a framework for your own collection. It's an important addition to Gulf philately. An early version of this book was awarded Bronze at the British Chester National Stamp Show 2003 and this version earned a Silver Bronze at the 8th New Zealand Philatelic Literature Exhibition in 2003.
